About Comfrey

Symphytum officinale, commonly known as comfrey, is a vigorous, clumping herbaceous perennial that reaches up to three feet in height. It features large, lance-shaped, hairy leaves and clusters of tubular, bell-like flowers in shades of white, pink, or purple. Thriving in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soils, it is remarkably hardy and drought-tolerant. Historically prized for its medicinal properties, it is now often used as a nutrient-rich compost activator or ornamental.
