Red Pixie is a compact, bushy lilac with upright, spreading branches and fragrant flowers that open deep pink from red buds before fading paler. Its late-spring display may repeat in late summer or early autumn. This deciduous shrub suits a smaller mixed border or container where its rounded habit can be appreciated. ## Maintenance Prune after the main flowering period if shaping is needed, so developing buds are not removed.
