Taishan® Gold African Marigold

Taishan® Gold is a compact African marigold selected for bright gold, double blooms on sturdy stems. Its mounded, upright growth and strong branching make it useful for colorful beds, borders, and landscape plantings through the warm growing season. ## Flowering and form The series flowers in spring and summer. Plants are listed at about 10–12 inches tall with an 8–10 inch spread; mature size can vary with climate, spacing, and care. The closely petalled flowers and branching habit give the plant a full display. ## Site and soil Choose a full-sun position. Tagetes erecta grows in clay, loam, or sandy soil when drainage and watering suit the site. It can be used in borders, containers, and as a cut flower. ## Maintenance Water during establishment and dry weather, allowing the soil to drain between watering. Remove spent flowers to keep the display tidy and encourage continued flowering. Handle foliage carefully if it irritates sensitive skin.
