Taishan® Orange African Marigold

Taishan® Orange is a compact African marigold with orange, double flowers and a sturdy, well-branched habit. The mounded, upright plants suit sunny beds, borders, and landscape displays, with flowering from spring into summer. ## Flowering and form PanAmerican lists plants at roughly 10–12 inches tall and 8–10 inches wide. Mature size may vary with climate, spacing, and growing conditions. Strong stems and side branching help the plant maintain a full display. ## Site and soil Grow in full sun. Tagetes erecta can be grown in clay, loam, or sandy soil, provided watering and drainage fit the site. Borders, containers, and cutting gardens are suitable uses. ## Maintenance Water regularly while plants establish and during dry spells, while avoiding persistently waterlogged soil. Remove faded flowers for a tidier appearance and continued color. The foliage and flowers can be aromatic when brushed or crushed.
