PanAmerican lists 1.75–2-inch blooms and describes the Hot Pak series as remaining compact while flowering. ## Growing Conditions Give the plant full sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil. French marigolds can grow in clay, loam, or sandy soils; keep the root zone moist but well drained. PanAmerican bred the Hot Pak series to continue flowering in summer heat and humidity. The small crested flowers contribute a warm maroon-and-gold display. ## Maintenance Water during establishment and extended dry spells, especially in pots. Remove faded blooms to help prolong flowering, and use containers with drainage.
