Painted Daisy (Tanacetum)

Tanacetum is a genus of aromatic, herbaceous perennials known for their finely divided, fern-like foliage and distinctive button-like or daisy-like flowers. Most species, such as the common tansy, feature golden-yellow blooms, while others like the painted daisy offer vibrant pinks and reds. They are typically hardy, drought-tolerant, and spread via rhizomes or self-seeding. Historically used for medicinal and insect-repellent purposes, they are excellent for naturalizing in meadows or cottage gardens.
