About Bald Cypress Tree

Taxodium distichum is a majestic, long-lived deciduous conifer known for its stately pyramidal habit and feathery, light green foliage. Native to southeastern swamps, it uniquely thrives in both standing water and dry upland soils. Its soft needles turn a striking russet-red in autumn before dropping. Mature specimens often develop distinctive "knees" and buttressed trunks. This hardy tree is ideal for large landscapes, rain gardens, and erosion control in zones four through ten.
