Yews

Taxus is a genus of slow-growing, long-lived coniferous trees and shrubs, commonly known as yews. They feature dense, dark green, needle-like foliage and distinctive red, berry-like arils. Highly versatile in landscaping, they are prized for their extreme shade tolerance and ability to withstand heavy pruning, making them ideal for hedges, screens, and topiary. While beautiful, almost all parts of the plant are highly toxic to humans and livestock if ingested. They thrive in well-drained soils across various climates.
