Private Jet™ Arborvitae

Private Jet™ is a fast-growing, narrow evergreen selected from Thuja occidentalis ‘King of Brabant’. Its columnar shape suits privacy screens, windbreaks, and vertical accents where a broad tree would take too much room. The breeder lists mature dimensions of 15–20 feet tall and 4–5 feet wide, with hardiness in zones 3–8. ## Characteristics The dense, green foliage keeps its color through winter. Plant in full sun to part shade; allow room for the upright form to develop. ## Landscape Uses Use it as a vertical specimen or plant several as a screen or windbreak. The narrow profile also works in smaller yards where height is desired without a wide canopy. ## Maintenance Water regularly while establishing, then adjust to local rainfall and soil drainage. Prune only to maintain the desired outline; avoid cutting back into old, bare wood.
