About Susie™ White with Eye Thunbergia

Susie™ White with Eye is a fast-growing black-eyed Susan vine with white blooms with a dark eye. It twines around supports and flowers through the warm season, bringing vertical color to a fence, trellis, arbor, or hanging basket. ## Garden use Train the twining stems over a trellis, fence, or arbor, or let them spill from a hanging basket or large container. This tender vine is commonly grown as a warm-season annual where winter frost prevents it from persisting. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers. The species can grow vigorously and may reach about six to eight feet when given support; allow room for its climbing stems. See the exact-color [Susie product page](https://www.easyseeds.eu/fr/thunbergia-alata-susie-white-avec-oeil-copie-2/) and the extension profiles from [University of Wisconsin](https://hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/black-eyed-susan-vine-thunbergia-alata/) and [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/thunbergia-alata/). ## Growing conditions Give the vine full sun or light shade and fertile, well-drained soil that retains moderate moisture. Water regularly, especially in containers, and provide a sturdy support as the stems lengthen. A container-grown plant may need more frequent watering than one growing in garden soil. ## Maintenance Check moisture during warm, dry weather and water before the root zone dries completely. Remove spent flowers when you want to tidy the plant and encourage continued bloom. Protect it from frost; in cold-winter gardens, treat it as a seasonal vine and replace it after the growing season.
