This native cultivar features a narrow, upright pyramidal habit with uniform branching that opens slightly with age. Its heart-shaped, dark green leaves have silvery undersides and transform into a brilliant golden yellow during the autumn months. Highly resistant to Japanese beetles, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to various soil types and urban pollution. Reaching up to 45 feet, it serves as an excellent shade or street tree for smaller landscapes.
