Purple Moon™ Torenia hybrida

Purple Moon™ is a named Torenia hybrida selection in Danziger’s MOON™ Series, with a semi-trailing habit and purple flowers. Danziger lists a 6–8 inch height, a 10–14 inch spread, and hanging-basket use. ## Form and placement The low, spreading habit suits baskets and containers, where the stems can trail over the rim. The [Danziger Purple Moon profile](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/torenia-purple-moon/) identifies the hybrid and series and gives its habit, size range, and basket use. The [RHS Purple Moon profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/190299/torenia-purple-moon-dantopur-moon-series/details) places it in the Moon Series and gives broader Torenia context for tender summer bedding. ## Growing notes Grow as a seasonal annual in a container or sheltered bed and protect from frost. Water containers according to their drying rate; maintain even moisture without leaving pots standing in water. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers and trim stems lightly if they become uneven. Check container moisture often during warm or windy spells.
