Create design onlineAbout Yellow Moon™ Torenia hybrida
Yellow Moon™ is Danziger’s Torenia hybrida selection sold under the trade name Yellow Moon; the RHS links it to the cultivar denomination ‘Danmoon20’. Its lemon-yellow flowers have a magenta-purple throat, and its outdoor flowering period extends from summer into autumn.
## Form and placement
The compact annual has pale green foliage and trumpet-shaped flowers. The [Danziger Yellow Moon profile](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/yellow-moon/) identifies the exact trade selection and MOON™ Series. The [RHS Yellow Moon profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/254291/torenia-yellow-moon-danmoon20-moon-series/details) lists full sun or partial shade, moist but well-drained soil, and use in containers and flower borders. The U.S. plant patent for [‘DANMOON20’](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP19176P2/en) describes a gracefully cascading plant for hanging pots and flowering through the year in moderate climates or greenhouse conditions.
## Growing notes
Grow outdoors after frost risk has passed. Keep the root zone evenly moist while avoiding waterlogging; flowering can continue longer under suitable protected conditions.
## Maintenance
No routine pruning is required. If stems become leggy, cut them back by about half to encourage bushier growth and a possible later flush.
