Trixi® 'Double Take'

Double Take Trixi® is a named, mono-species Calibrachoa combination. Selecta lists three components—MiniFamous® Uno Double Dark Blue, Double PinkTastic and Double Red—and gives the combination a mature height of 12–14 inches and spread of 14–16 inches in sun. ## Color and placement The recipe layers double blue, pink and red flowers in one container planting. Selecta places Double Take among its current Trixi® mono combos and recommends the product for sunny growing conditions. Each named component belongs to the MiniFamous® Uno Calibrachoa series, which is listed for pots, baskets and combinations. Use the combination where its compact size and three-color display can be seen up close, such as a patio pot or hanging basket. ## Growing Keep the container in full sun and use a free-draining mix. Selecta’s growing guidance says to keep the medium consistently moist while avoiding both drying and overwatering; check containers frequently in warm, bright weather because pots can dry faster than garden soil. The breeder rates the combination highly for heat tolerance, but does not publish a USDA hardiness zone for this annual product. ## Maintenance Check moisture regularly and water before the mix dries completely, while allowing excess water to drain. Remove spent flowers or trim untidy stems as needed to keep the three-color display neat.
