Truffula™ Pink globe amaranth is a heat-loving annual with a rounded mound of vivid pink, papery flower heads. It blooms from spring through fall in sun and makes a generous cut or dried flower for beds and large containers.
## Garden Use
Allow about two feet for its mature spread, and place it where the bright flowers can carry through a summer border or container planting. Its long flowering season and sturdy stems suit informal color, pollinator plantings, and fresh or dried bouquets.
## Growing Conditions
Give it full sun and ordinary, well-drained garden or potting soil. Proven Winners lists mature dimensions of roughly 22–28 inches tall and 22–26 inches wide, hardiness zones 9–11, and average water needs; in cooler climates it is generally grown as a warm-season annual. Water newly planted specimens regularly, then avoid keeping the root zone soggy.
## Maintenance
The breeder says deadheading is unnecessary, so leave the fading flower heads in place or harvest stems for bouquets. Space plants so air can move around the foliage, and remove the plant after frost where it is not winter-hardy. [Proven Winners: Truffula Pink](https://www.provenwinners.com/p/11052)
