This cultivar is a breakthrough in elms, featuring a tight, columnar habit with branches that ascend at a 45-degree angle. It reaches 25-30 feet in height while maintaining a narrow 4-5 foot spread. The small, fine green foliage turns a long-lasting yellow-orange in autumn. As it matures, the bark exfoliates in beautiful patches of orange, gray, and white. Highly resistant to Dutch elm disease and urban stressors, it is an ideal choice for street plantings, hedges, or small gardens.
