Unplugged® Pink Salvia is a compact, upright annual with bright pink-to-fuchsia flowers above black calyces and very deep green foliage. It blooms from spring through fall, continuously from planting until frost, and suits borders, mass plantings, landscape beds, and containers as a thriller. [Proven Winners plant profile](https://serv3.provenwinners.com/plants/salvia/unplugged-pink-salvia).
## Growing Conditions
Plant it in part sun to sun and provide average water. Proven Winners lists it for USDA zones 9a–11b and notes it can be perennial in frost-free climates. Published mature size is 14–30 inches tall by 12–20 inches wide. The plant tolerates heat and drought once established.
## Garden Value
The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while the breeder lists the plant as deer resistant. The selection is ‘WNSVUPPK’; its U.S. plant patent, PP34,160, was granted April 19, 2022 ([patent record](https://patents.justia.com/patent/PP34160)).
## Maintenance
Deadheading is not necessary. Trim if needed to shape the plant and encourage branching; water regularly while it establishes, then adjust to local conditions.
