Upscale Pink Chenille Bee Balm

Upscale® Pink Chenille is a clump-forming bee balm with large fluorescent-pink flowers and lighter pink interiors. It flowers in spring and summer, with its main bloom in midsummer and a second flush that extends the display. ## Garden use This perennial grows 20–22 inches tall and spreads 18–22 inches, fitting a border, container, or mass planting. Its fragrant flowers and foliage attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds; deer generally avoid it. The flowering stems are also suitable for cutting. ## Growing conditions Plant in part sun to full sun and provide average or fertile soil. Proven Winners lists average water needs and USDA hardiness zones 4a–8b. It prefers rich, moist soil but also grows in ordinary garden soil; good air circulation helps prevent disease.
