Vanessa™ Bic. Light Pink Verbena

Vanessa™ Bicolor Light Pink is a named Verbena hortensis selection with semi-trailing growth and light pink bicolor flowers. Danziger lists early flowering, single medium flowers, mildew tolerance and heat performance for this selection and its series. ## Garden use The grower lists this variety for pots, hanging baskets, ground cover and landscape plantings, with a flowering habit suited to containers and sunny beds. Its published garden size is 8-12 In. high and 14-18 In. wide; use those ranges as a guide and allow for growing conditions. The RHS guide recommends full sun and well-drained soil for verbenas, and notes that containers dry more quickly than garden beds. ## Maintenance Plant in a warm, sunny location with free-draining soil. Water newly planted specimens until established; check pots and hanging baskets regularly during hot weather and water when the mix begins to dry. Deadhead to encourage continued flowering, and avoid keeping the roots waterlogged. Container plants benefit from regular feeding during active flowering.
