Vanessa™ Compact Deep Pink Verbena

Vanessa™ Compact Deep Pink is a Verbena hortensis selection in Danziger’s Vanessa™ Compact series. The named deep pink flowers and compact, well-branched habit suit pots, hanging baskets, ground cover, and landscape plantings. ### Flowers and habit Danziger lists early flowering, single medium flowers, and a compact growth habit. Its product page gives mature dimensions of about 8 inches high by 12 inches wide, with feature ranges of 6–8 inches tall and 10–14 inches wide. The breeder says the series holds color into summer heat and was selected for powdery mildew tolerance. ### Placement and care The selection is listed for pots, hanging baskets, ground cover, and landscape use. Give the low, branching plant room to spread; in containers, use a draining mix and check moisture regularly in warm weather. Consult the [Deep Pink product profile](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/annuals/vanessa-compact-deep-pink/) and the [Vanessa Compact series profile](https://www.danzigeronline.com/series_annuals/vanessa-compact/) for the published features. For general verbena care, the RHS recommends full sun and well-drained soil ([RHS growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/verbena/growing-guide)). ## Maintenance Trim lightly to keep stems within the intended outline and remove faded or damaged growth when tidying. Container-grown plants may need more frequent moisture checks during hot, dry periods.
