Vivid® Swirl White-Lavender is a white-and-lavender color selection in Green Fuse Botanicals’ Vivid® verbena program. Green Fuse identifies the program as Verbena hybrida, and its archive lists the named Swirl White-Lavender selection. The RHS describes bedding verbenas as summer-flowering plants suited to borders, containers and hanging baskets. ## Garden use
The two-tone flowers bring contrast to a seasonal planting. Use the selection in a mixed container or near a border edge, pairing it with foliage plants or solid-color annual flowers. Garden verbena hybrids are grown for their flowers and are commonly used as seasonal bedding. The North Carolina Extension profile identifies garden verbenas as hybrids in Verbenaceae and recommends full sun and well-drained soil. The RHS describes bedding verbenas as useful in borders, containers and hanging baskets, with summer flowers and pollinator interest. ## Maintenance
Plant in a warm, sunny position after frost, using free-draining soil. Water newly planted specimens while they establish, then check containers more often during warm, dry weather. Avoid leaving roots in waterlogged compost; trim faded flower clusters and tidy stems as needed to maintain the display.
