Quartz XP Bordeaux Verbena

Quartz XP Bordeaux is a Bordeaux-colored selection in the Quartz XP series of Verbena × hybrida. Ball Seed describes XP plants as mounded and publishes an 8–10-inch height and 10–12-inch width range; its Bordeaux profile lists flowering from spring into autumn, sun exposure, medium water and attraction to bees and butterflies. The XP group is described as suitable for beds and mixed containers. Allow room for a gently spreading mound and pair the deep color with lighter flowers or foliage. North Carolina Extension recommends well-drained soil and full sun for garden verbena hybrids. Water newly planted specimens while they establish, then check containers more often during warm, dry weather. Avoid leaving roots in waterlogged compost; trim faded flower clusters and tidy stems as needed to maintain the display.
