Quartz XP Purple Verbena

Quartz XP Purple is the purple-flowered member of the Quartz XP verbena series. PanAmerican lists Purple among the named XP colors, and Ball’s Quartz brochure describes Purple XP as solid velvet purple without a white eye, with the series’ largest florets and somewhat more vigor than other Quartz varieties. The series has a mounded, slightly spreading habit for beds and mixed containers. The series’ compact mounds work well near the front of planters and seasonal beds. Purple XP’s uneyed flowers distinguish it from the white-eyed forms in the series. ## Maintenance Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Water moderately, with closer attention to containers during warm weather. Remove faded flower clusters and tidy stems as needed.
