Quartz XP Scarlet Verbena

Quartz XP Scarlet is the solid scarlet-red selection in the Quartz XP verbena series. Ball identifies it as Verbena x hybrida and notes spring-to-autumn flowering, a mounded habit, attraction for bees and butterflies, and tolerance of heat and frost. The slightly spreading plants suit beds and mixed containers. The Ball brochure distinguishes Scarlet XP by its lack of a white eye, while Red with Eye XP has a large white center. The compact habit suits seasonal beds and planters. ## Maintenance Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Water moderately, especially in containers during warm weather. Remove faded flower clusters and tidy stems as needed.
