About Sorbet® XP Neptune Viola

Sorbet® XP Neptune is a compact, mounded horned violet with cream flowers edged by a blue picotee. PanAmerican Seed lists it for early spring, spring, late spring, late summer, autumn, and winter flowering, extending seasonal color in cool conditions. ## Growing conditions Plant in sun or partial sun and provide moist, humusy, well-drained soil. The species profile notes that horned violets generally flower best in cooler weather and may pause during summer heat. Neptune grows about 6–8 inches high and wide. ## Uses Use this selection in bedding, borders, containers, or as seasonal ground cover. Its mounded habit gives a tidy edge and fills small planting spaces. ## Maintenance Water to keep the soil moist while ensuring good drainage. Remove spent flowers to encourage additional buds; after a flowering flush, cutting plants back may help them bloom again as temperatures cool.
