Create design onlineAbout Sorbet® XP Yellow Pink Jump Up Viola
“Sorbet® XP Yellow Pink Jump Up” is a Sorbet XP horned violet for cool-season beds, borders, and containers. The breeder describes a lavender-pink flower cap that fades with age and heat, along with a compact mounded habit.
## Growing conditions
Give it full sun or partial shade and humus-rich soil that remains moist while draining well. The [breeder’s selection page](https://www.panamseed.com/products/064005624031773/viola-sorbet-xp-yellow-pink-jump-up/) lists early spring, spring, late spring, late summer, autumn, and winter flowering. North Carolina State Extension’s [horned violet guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/viola-cornuta/common-name/horned-violet/) describes horned violets as spring bloomers that may pause during hot summer weather, and notes that they work in beds, borders, ground cover, and containers. Cooler local conditions can extend flowering.
## Maintenance
Deadhead faded flowers to encourage new buds. After hot weather, cut back old stems as temperatures cool, and keep the soil evenly moist without leaving it waterlogged.
