Cool Wave Sunshine 'N Wine Spreading Pansy

Cool Wave Sunshine ’N Wine is a named spreading pansy for baskets, patio planters, and garden beds. PanAmerican Seed identifies this selection with the North American name Sunshine ’N Wine and lists its garden flowering seasons from early spring through spring, with autumn and winter color. ## Growing conditions The [PanAmerican product page](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/046706339031289/spreading-pansy-cool-wave-sunshine-n-wine/) describes a trailing, spreading habit, sun exposure, and a 5a–11 hardiness range. Use this cool-season annual where its low, outward growth can soften a container edge or fill a sunny border. North Carolina State Extension’s [pansy guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/viola-x-wittrockiana/) recommends full sun to partial shade and humus-rich soil that stays moist while draining freely. ## Maintenance Deadhead faded flowers to encourage fresh buds. Keep the root zone consistently moist, and plan to replace the planting when sustained summer heat ends its cool-season display.
