Cool Wave Violet Wing is a spreading pansy with white flowers marked by violet whiskers and a violet cap. The exact PAS835631 listing describes this selection as a fall-and-winter trailing annual, providing direct support for its two-tone flowers. ## Growing conditions The [Violet Wing product listing](https://bcnursery.com/1038-66) gives a spreading form and a 6–8 inch height with a 24–30 inch spread. Plant it in a container, hanging basket, or sunny border where the branches can spill over the edge. North Carolina State Extension’s [pansy guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/viola-x-wittrockiana/) recommends full sun to partial shade and humus-rich soil that remains moist and well drained. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers to encourage continued bloom, and water often enough to keep the root zone evenly moist. Pansies are cool-season annuals and usually fade as summer heat builds.
