Matrix® Primrose Pansy

Matrix® Primrose is an extra-large-flowered pansy with a mounded form and a compact garden stature. Its cool-season flowering suits beds, borders, and containers. ## Growing Conditions Plant in sun or partial sun in humus-rich soil that stays evenly moist and drains freely. The Matrix form grows about 8 inches tall and spreads roughly 8–10 inches, fitting the front of a bed or a container. Pansies are useful in bedding, borders, hanging baskets, and mass plantings, and their flowers attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. This pansy flowers in early spring, spring, autumn, and winter under suitable cool-season conditions, then declines as summer heat rises. Remove faded flowers to prolong the display. In warm climates, plan to replace pansies after summer heat ends their useful flowering season.
