Panola® XP Purple Pansy

Panola® XP Purple is a compact, mounded pansy for cool-season displays. PanAmerican Seed lists flowering in early spring, spring and autumn, with a 6–8-inch height and an 8–10-inch spread. ## Garden Use The [PanAmerican Seed profile](https://www.panamseed.com/products/046705326004341/pansy-panola-xp-purple/) describes free-flowering, well-branched plants that stay compact and lists partial sun. The [North Carolina Extension pansy guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/viola-x-wittrockiana/) recommends humus-rich, consistently moist, well-drained soil and notes that pansies attract butterflies and pollinators. Its broader species guidance describes a semi-evergreen annual for beds, borders, containers, hanging baskets, mass plantings and slopes or banks; pansies decline when summer heat arrives. ## Maintenance Keep the soil consistently moist while maintaining good drainage, and deadhead spent flowers to prolong bloom. Remove plants when summer heat ends their useful display.
