Panola® XP Yellow Blotch Pansy

Panola® XP Yellow Blotch Pansy is a compact, mounded pansy selected for a uniform display in cool-season gardens. Its free-flowering habit suits borders, containers, and grouped seasonal plantings. ## Growing Conditions PanAmerican Seed lists flowering in early spring, spring, and autumn, with partial-sun exposure for this Panola® XP selection. The breeder's garden profile gives a height of 6–8 inches and spread of 8–10 inches. Pansies grow in full sun to part shade and prefer humus-rich soil kept consistently moist and well-drained. See the [PanAmerican Seed product profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/046705326006065/pansy-panola-xp-yellow-blotch/) and [NC State Extension pansy guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/viola-x-wittrockiana/). ## Landscape Use Use this pansy in bedding, borders, containers, or hanging baskets. NC State Extension also describes mass planting along hardscapes and use on slopes or banks. The species is a semi-evergreen annual and brings flowers to cool-season displays. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers to prolong bloom. Pansies eventually decline in summer heat, so plan them as seasonal cool-weather plants and water when rainfall is insufficient.
