Himrod is a vigorous seedless grape valued for sweet, pale golden fruit and fresh eating. University of Massachusetts Extension notes its loose clusters and vigorous growth in a cool-climate setting. ## Growing conditions As a Vitis grape, it is a deciduous climber with small green flowers, as described in the [RHS Vitis profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/19033/vitis-labrusca/details). Use well-drained soil and allow space for the vine to spread along its support. Minnesota Extension recommends regular watering during establishment; established vines usually need extra irrigation only in dry conditions.
