Create design onlineAbout Seedless Purple Grape
Seedless Purple Grape is a vigorous, woody Vitis vine grown for mostly seedless purple table grapes with crisp, slip-skin fruit. It flowers in spring and ripens early, with harvest often beginning in September.
## Garden Use
Train the vine along an arbor, pergola, or sturdy trellis where the fruit can be reached at harvest. It can also bring edible interest to a sunny garden border or home orchard.
## Growing Conditions
Give it full sun and a strong support. The selection is reported to grow in clay or loam and to tolerate alkaline soil; keep drainage good and provide moderate water as the vine establishes and fruit develops. The Plant Select profile lists a mature vine about 15–20 feet tall by 3–8 feet wide and USDA zones 4–9. [Plant Select: St. Theresa Seedless](https://plantselect.org/plant/vitis-x-st-theresa-seedless/) describes its spring flowering, fruit, growing conditions, and arbor use; [Raintree Nursery](https://raintreenursery.com/products/st-theresa-seedless-grape) gives additional selection-specific harvest notes.
## Maintenance
Prune the vine each year to maintain its framework and support productive growth. Follow a spring pruning schedule suited to the local climate, and keep new growth tied to its support.
