Jupiter is an early-ripening, seedless table grape with large, firm, reddish-blue to blue berries and a mild Muscat flavor. It is an interspecific selection from the University of Arkansas breeding program, released in 1998.
## Growing Conditions
Plant in full sun and provide a sturdy trellis for the vine. Water generously during the growing season; the cultivar description notes that Jupiter needs ample water. ## Garden Use
The large, firm berries are suited to fresh eating. The fruit has a mild Muscat character, and the cultivar ripens early in the Arkansas and North Carolina trials. The parentage is interspecific, so the profile keeps the named selection without assigning it to pure Vitis vinifera.
## Maintenance
Train the vine onto a durable support and prune each year during dormancy. Maintain an open canopy for sunlight and air movement, and monitor fruit during wet weather because cracking can occur.
