Weeping Extraordinaire™ Weeping Cherry

Weeping Extraordinaire™ is a spring-flowering cherry with arching, pendulous branches and double blooms that open deep rosy pink before fading to soft pink and near white. It reaches about 15–20 feet tall and wide and is hardy in USDA zones 5–8 ([Proven Winners](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/prunus/weeping-extraordinaire-weeping-cherry-prunus-x)). ## Seasonal Character The flowers are followed by coppery new foliage that matures to bright emerald green, then deepens to burgundy in fall. Its layered, weeping outline makes a strong specimen for a lawn or a spacious mixed border. ## Growing Conditions Choose a sunny site with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Leave room for the mature canopy and water consistently while the tree establishes. The spring flowers attract pollinators, adding activity to the garden. ## Maintenance If shaping is needed, prune after flowering. Remove damaged branches and keep the canopy open without cutting away the natural weeping framework.
