About Hummingbird Trumpet

Zauschneria garrettii, known as the Hummingbird Trumpet, is a low-growing, spreading perennial forming a dense mat of gray-green, lance-shaped foliage. Reaching up to 12 inches in height and spreading 2 feet wide, it is ideal for rock gardens, slopes, and xeriscaping. From late summer to fall, it produces a profusion of brilliant orange-red tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds. This hardy plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, showing excellent drought tolerance once established.
