Magellan Mix - Zinnia

Magellan™ Mix is an upright Zinnia elegans cultivar in Syngenta’s Magellan series. Its fully double flowers and upright habit suit sunny borders and containers. ### Flowers and form Syngenta lists mature garden height of 12–14 inches and width of 10–12 inches, with flowering from mid spring through summer. The product profile specifies full sun and identifies this selection as pollinator friendly. North Carolina State Extension describes zinnias as annuals that attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. ### Placement and care Use it in a sunny annual border, a patio container, or a mass planting. A loam soil with organic matter and good drainage suits zinnias; allow air to move around the plants, especially in humid weather. Water needs vary with rainfall, soil, and container size, so check the root zone rather than relying on a fixed schedule. See the [Syngenta Magellan Mix profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70021362) and [NC State Zinnia elegans guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/zinnia-elegans/). ## Maintenance Remove faded blooms as needed to keep the display tidy, and avoid crowding plants in humid conditions. In containers, check soil moisture regularly and ensure excess water can drain away.
