Double Zahara™ Cherry Zinnia

Double Zahara™ Cherry zinnia produces fully double flowers on a mounded, upright plant listed at 16–20 inches tall and wide. The selection is slightly less double than others in its series and is suited to sunny landscape plantings and containers ([PanAmerican Seed product page](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/065705372001110/zinnia-double-zahara-cherry/)). ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun in soil that drains well and retains moisture. The [NC State Extension zinnia profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/zinnia-marylandica/common-name/zinnia/) describes Zinnia marylandica as adaptable to clay, loam, sand, and high-organic-matter soils, and recommends borders, containers, mass plantings, and cut flowers. ## Maintenance Water through dry spells to keep the soil evenly moist. Deadhead faded flowers to prolong bloom and provide good spacing for airflow around the foliage.
