Profusion Cherry is a mounded zinnia with bright cherry-red single flowers tinged with pink. The compact plants suit sunny borders, containers, and mass plantings, and the selection received the 1999 All-America Selections award. Its listed bloom season runs from spring through autumn. Grow in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil with regular moisture; the plant is described as tolerant of heat and drought and resistant to mildew. Allow good air circulation and water the soil rather than keeping foliage wet.
